How can the chemicals and antibiotics be used in aquaculture?
The use of chemicals and antibiotics, bioproducts, treated and renovated substances in aquaculture must belong to the list legally circulated in Vietnam.
- Farms are inspected by relevant competent authorities as regulated in the Ministry.
- Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN dated Mach 17, 2009 promulgating the lists of banned and restricted chemicals and antibiotics. Simultaneously, they have also to apply standards on responsible farming (SQF 1000, BMP, GAP,…) and be evaluated by the third independent party (SGS, IMO,…).
- Circular No. 64/2010/ TT-BNN dated November 11, 2010 on the removal of trifluralin containing products from the list of products for treatment and improvement of the aquaculture environment, permitted to be marketed in Vietnam.
- Cicular No.03/2012/ TT-BNN dated January 16, 2012 on removing products containing Cypermethrin, Deltamethrin from the list of veterinary drugs and products permitted to use in treating aquaculture environment.
